Personification of Inanimate Objects

This weeks theme was to do personification of inanimate objects.- For all three of my pictures I used a Starbucks cup to make the things look as if they were drinking it. My first picture is of a bathroom sign which I made look like it was drinking. The second picture is of another picture of a man inside of the photography classroom. Lastly, the third picture is of some random head with medusa looking springs sticking outside of its head that I found around the photography classroom. This head was out of my reach so the Starbucks cup is actually closer to me rather than touching the head itself.

Performing Arts

Marc E. Bassy

ASAP Ferg

Young Gerald

For this weeks theme we had to post pictures of people performing arts. All of these pictures were taken at a concert I went to last week for G-Eazy's tour of his new album. The first picture is of Marc E. Bassy who was one of the first opening acts. The quality of this isn't fantastic because it is a screen shot off of a video with him in it, and he was constantly moving. The second picture is of ASAP Ferg in the middle of a song making a speech. I love this picture because I focused very closely to get the greatest quality and the shadow in the background. The last picture is of the main act, G-Eazy. This picture has a ton of enphassis right on the rappers face and bright lights contrasting the white shirt and black jacket. The background behind hi, is dimmed out but still noticeable if you look closely.

Hats or Headgear

Light Blur

The theme of this week was hats or headgear. For my first picture, I did a flash effect on a classmates patagonia hat. I really like how this picture turned out because with the added light, the red, blue and purple coloring pops out much more. For the second picture, it is mainly focused on the helmets and beanies being worn. This was taken on the ski lift at Santa Fe ski area. Even though this picture wasn't initially intended for this class, the lighting and focus on all of the helmets turned out very well. Lastly, this picture was taken at the River of Lights this past Christmas. It was taken with a blur effect but turned out very well with the bright lights in the background and then the main black hat in the front. I really like the contrast that the white "neff" label has in the picture against the black hat.
