Assignment 11

The first picture is of an eagle painting. I took this when it was very cloudy outside so you can see how much the yellow and orange coloring stands out. The second pictureI found is of a piece of machinery in the junk yard. Thus was inspired by vintage road signs and manages to look vintage without looking too worn out. The third picture is of a welded chain onto a lock. I focused very closely on the rusted metal to show how it has aged. This reminded me of Nick Jonas because of his hit single, "Chains."

Assignment 10

The first picture is of very aged piece of cement that has obviously lost a lot of quality. I focused in closely on the grout coming out. The second picture is of a collection of twigs on the ground with spilled glitter on top. I really like this picture because of how the glitter is shining in the foggy light and how I mostly focused in on the further part of the picture rather than what's closest. The final picture is of a sticker that I found on the very bottom of a pole on campus. I like the angle that I captured on this and the detail of the rusted sticker.

Assignment 9

The first picture is of a piece of trash that I found on campus. If you look closely it says, "Come see for yourself." I like this picture because it incorporates balance and focuses on multiple things inside of the photo. The second one is a basic locker shot, to show the detail and discoloration that has happened to the lockers over the years. The last picture is of a conifer tree which really stands out now because most the other trees across campus are starting to have their leaves fall. I really tried to focus in on the tree branches to show how old they are.

Assignment 8

This first picture is of a plant with growing berries. I focused in very closely on them so that you could capture the detail that they have whereas I blurred out the background of my shoes along with the rest of the plant. The second picture is of some cracking dirt that really shows the texture of the ground. I really like this picture because you can almost imagine what the ground would feel like if you were to touch it. The third picture is of a picture I found on the ground across campus. It is an art project of burning matches pasted onto paper.

Assignment 7

All three of my pictures this week were of trees across campus. The first tree I really focused in on the plants growing off the branches in the first one, and I like how the light is shining through in the back. The pods symbolize growth which later grows into leave which then expands into a full grown tree where more and more pods and leaves will continue to grow. The picture is very cluttered but balanced. The second picture is another plant but I focused mainly on the rocks below. The last picture is a far view just showing the amount of leaves that will soon be falling.
