Assignment 16

The theme of this final week of blogging mainly focuses on texture. The first picture is a close up of my hair and the many different colors in it reflecting off of the light in the computer room. The second picture is of a sweater vest that is very pure and white but with close detail and attention you can see the fur. The final picture is a close up of a christmas sweater with a flash showing all of the stitching. All of these photos were taken inside of the computer lab in the photo room.

Assignment 15

This week all of my blog pictures were taken on the preschooler playground at Eldorado High School. The first picture is a close up of the sand on the playground. I zooms in a lot and focused it carefully so that you can see the different colors of the grains. The second picture is of a swing set. It was about 1:00pm when I took this so thats why the shadow is where it is. The final picture is of a tic tac toe game on the play set. I set all of the pins to x to show unity and balance inside of the picture.

Assignment 14

This week blogs were taken within the photography room. The first picture is of a photo cutting board. I really focused my camera on the grain of the board to show the chipping of it. The second picture is of a grain focusing scope . I focused through the tube to get the bottom of it. This one is obviously broken because there is no magnifying glass. The final picture is of a bunch of tangled cords by all of the computers in the photo room. This is a good representation of what time it is in the school year.

Assignment 13

The first picture is of the inside of a vocational building locker. I focused in on the detail of the chipping away orange paint. The second is of balanced urinals in the boys restroom that my BFF Logan helped take for me. Stay hydrated folks. The final picture I took is of sun chips that I attempted to buy but got stuck. I liked this picture a lot because it represents the troubles that can occur when trying to self feed at school. This was an actual experience and I had to wait for the chips to eventually fall to satisfy my hunger.

Assignment 12

This week has a fall theme. Across campus all of the trees leaves are starting to turn. I really like the first picture because i focussed in on the turning leaves but in the background the clouds are very white and full looking to compliment the very bright sky. The second picture is my favorite because of all the different color leaf combinations of orange, yellow and reds. I took this on a very cold day so the lighting reflected onto the leaves nicely. Lastly I took a picture of gravel, to had rained previously which made the dirt moist.

Assignment 11

The first picture is of an eagle painting. I took this when it was very cloudy outside so you can see how much the yellow and orange coloring stands out. The second pictureI found is of a piece of machinery in the junk yard. Thus was inspired by vintage road signs and manages to look vintage without looking too worn out. The third picture is of a welded chain onto a lock. I focused very closely on the rusted metal to show how it has aged. This reminded me of Nick Jonas because of his hit single, "Chains."

Assignment 10

The first picture is of very aged piece of cement that has obviously lost a lot of quality. I focused in closely on the grout coming out. The second picture is of a collection of twigs on the ground with spilled glitter on top. I really like this picture because of how the glitter is shining in the foggy light and how I mostly focused in on the further part of the picture rather than what's closest. The final picture is of a sticker that I found on the very bottom of a pole on campus. I like the angle that I captured on this and the detail of the rusted sticker.

Assignment 9

The first picture is of a piece of trash that I found on campus. If you look closely it says, "Come see for yourself." I like this picture because it incorporates balance and focuses on multiple things inside of the photo. The second one is a basic locker shot, to show the detail and discoloration that has happened to the lockers over the years. The last picture is of a conifer tree which really stands out now because most the other trees across campus are starting to have their leaves fall. I really tried to focus in on the tree branches to show how old they are.

Assignment 8

This first picture is of a plant with growing berries. I focused in very closely on them so that you could capture the detail that they have whereas I blurred out the background of my shoes along with the rest of the plant. The second picture is of some cracking dirt that really shows the texture of the ground. I really like this picture because you can almost imagine what the ground would feel like if you were to touch it. The third picture is of a picture I found on the ground across campus. It is an art project of burning matches pasted onto paper.

Assignment 7

All three of my pictures this week were of trees across campus. The first tree I really focused in on the plants growing off the branches in the first one, and I like how the light is shining through in the back. The pods symbolize growth which later grows into leave which then expands into a full grown tree where more and more pods and leaves will continue to grow. The picture is very cluttered but balanced. The second picture is another plant but I focused mainly on the rocks below. The last picture is a far view just showing the amount of leaves that will soon be falling.

Assignment 6

These pictures were all taken inside of the photography computer lab. The first picture is of the backside of one of the desktop computers. I like this picture because it's not very common that you're inspecting the backside of a computer. I focused in closely on all the USB unites individually. The second picture is of a photoshopped creation of the first picture, as the background on the desktop computer. I took a tiger head picture and photoshopped it onto one of the cables behind the computer. Then to take the main picture, I centered my camera so that there would be balance between the borders. The third picture is very unique because it is of the bottom light underneath the computer mouse. I like this because if you were to show anyone, it would take awhile to figure out what the image is of. The theme of this weeks blog is "Tiger & Apple Products."

Assignment 5

The first picture I look is looking upside one of the trees on campus. It shows the detail of the dark leaves with the focused stormy clouds in the background. The second picture is in the main courtyard of our eagle logo. I incorporated my shoes with it because it shows the down view angle that I took so that I could focus on the imprint. The third picture is a panoramic shot of the courtyard right before it was about to rain. The panoramic pictures are my favorite kind to take because it is such a wide view angle and you are capable to see everything, rather than what is just right in front of you.

Assignment 4

The first picture I took is of the ceiling on the left side of when you first enter inside of the library. I like this one because it shows the shadows from the altered ceiling. The second picture is a close up of a tree on campus. I focused my camera very well so that you can see the close detail that the tree trunk has and how the bark is splitting over the years it has been growing. The third picture is of a small slab of cement with an eagle engraved. It was taken in very dim lighting and is surrounded by cactus.

Assignment 3

The first picture was taken in the Academy building on campus of the lockers. I angled the camera to show the rust of the lockers and to show how continuous the hallway is. The second picture was taken of a garbage can with painted hand prints on the side. I tried to focus in on the tree trunk to show its dimensions and also incorporated the tree leaves in the background. For the last picture, I angled my camera upward to show the shadows of the Eldorado letters on the side of the building. i really like this picture because of how the burnt orange color looks in the lighting and how it compliments the sky.

Assignment 2

This first picture was taken on campus near the track field. I angled my camera upward so I could see the shadows of the light coming through the tree leaves. I like this one a lot because it shows the detail of the tree trunk and how the beaches keep expanding. The second picture is a panoramic shot of the track field. This was taken in the mid afternoon so it was very sunny and I was able to capture the disappearing clouds. The third picture is of the campus eagle painting. Overall I focused the picture on the eagle so the surroundings are very shaded and dark.

Assignment 1

Dead Kitty

Saw Dust Collector

These three pictures were taken in a small courtyard outside of the photography room. The first picture is of a dead cat that has decomposed over time with nothing but the skull and fur left. It was really interesting to see how well some of the bones remaining had stayed in tact and that the skull is still has its original shape. I liked this picture because it shows what really happens in nature. The second picture is outside of the wood shop class and this machine collects dust throughout the year from the class. I took the picture straight forward to show the different dimensions it has. The third picture is of what seems to be a wood chopper, although I don't know how the machine works I like how the shadows show what all is included.
